FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio — A store employee was punched and robbed at gunpoint while she was siting in her car on break Friday evening.

Police believe the suspects involved could be the same men who are suspects in another robbery in Fairview Park from earlier this month.

According to police reports, Friday’s incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. in a parking lot near Earth Fare, 2450 Westgate.

The employee was sitting in her car on break when a man approached her, said he had a gun and punched her. The man was described as being stocky and in his 20s. He was between 5’10” and 5’11” and was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt.

The victim said he was possibly accompanied by two other men. The car was later recovered, but the suspects are still on the run.

Police say the incident may be related to a robbery at Fairview Village Apartments on Lorain Road on March 13.

Three men demanded that victim’s keys and purse in the parking lot at the complex. One suspect ran away, and two others drove off in a black Nissan or Toyota with Illinois license plates.

Surveillance video captured images of the three suspects trying to use the victim’s credit card at a business in Cleveland.
