FAIRVEW PARK, Ohio– A Fairview Park woman’s boyfriend was indicted on Thursday, months after her murder.
Police were called for a welfare check at the West 221st Street home of Lynita McCaslin, 32, on Feb. 26.
She was found dead inside the house. Police said there were some signs of trauma, but no obvious cause of death.
With the help of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, investigators determined McCaslin’s death was a homicide.
On Thursday, a Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted 40-year-old Jamal M. Bey for aggravated murder. Bey was McCaslin’s live-in boyfriend, according to police.
